The role of the Mental Health Centre is to provide a variety of services that improve the metal health and wellbeing of students. The Centre is comprised of two complementary teams - Psychological Services andPsychiatry

Psychological Services (formerly Student Counselling Services) provides individual and group therapy treatment for many common but serious mental health concerns, like depression and anxiety disorders. We also provide therapy and supportive counselling for many other kinds of life challenges that students face. In addition, we have a walk-in consultation time twice daily. Learn more about our Psychological Services here.

Psychiatry services (previously located in the University Health Centre) include the medical diagnosis and treatment of mental health problems via medication, and in some cases therapy as well. Learn more about Psychiatry services here.

The Mental Health Centre also offers opportunities for University faculty and staff to consult with our staff regarding students of concern, various kinds of mental health and life crises, and so on.
